Academy by the Sea

The Academy by the Sea offers an Academic Program and a Recreational Program called Camp Pacific. Both are resident camps, where children stay in dormitories.

Academic Program

Grades 7 – 11

This four week program offers three options.

The enrichment program offers classes like science, oceanography, math and ESL. Kids can take classes that interest them or that they could use extra help in.

The credit program provides an opportunity for high school students to make up a class that they did poorly on during the school year or take an extra high school credit class.

The college prep program helps high school students evaluate colleges, prepare for SAT/ACT tests and learn life skills that will help them in college.

The enrichment and credit programs are half day, with the afternoons spent on recreation, such as swimming, tennis and beach activities.

Field trips to local theme parks take place on the weekends.

Camp Pacific

Ages 7 – 17

This three week recreational program offers skill building activities in the mornings, in areas such as land sports, beach activities and arts and crafts. In the afternoons kids choose activities like billiards, sand castle building, weight training and more. The camp gathers in the evenings for talent shows, scavenger hunts and campfires.

One week surf camps and five week leadership training camps are available. There is a counselor in training program available to high school students who have attended camp before.

Field trips to local theme parks take place on the weekends.
