When kids are out of school but you still have to work, daycamps are a perfect solution. Better yet, it’s not like going to the babysitter because kids are there for the activities being offered.
Day camps come in all possible flavors. There’s the day camp at the local school or city recreation center that offers play with friends and sometimes field trips. There are daycamps that allow a child to learn something they’re interested in, like cooking, sports, robotics or movie making.
Most day camps run Monday through Friday during the day time. Many of the larger camps run long enough each day for parents to be able to drop their children off before work and pick them up after. Many specialty camps, like horseback riding, basketball and football last anywhere from three to six hours. Some of them offer extended care so that children of working parents can participate.
