Kids Learning

Kids go to school every day to learn, but it doesn’t have to stop there. What if your child is interest in marine biology when this year’s school curriculum involves plants and ecosystems? What if he is curious about geometry when his class is covering algebra. If you can offer the subject they’re interested in, learning is almost effortless, not to mention fun.

Science for Kids

Science camps and classes are wildly popular? Why? Because it’s fun to touch, see, feel and experiment with real things. Animals are always fascinating to kids. Science involves the real world, not just a classroom. It often involves moving around, getting dirty and seeing unexpected results. What could be better than that? Since science is such a broad area, classes and camps are frequently broken down into specific topics like robotics, computers, chemistry or bugs! This allows your child to really dig into a field that interests them. In fact, you can sign them up for a class or camp that only delves into the topic they’re most interested in.

Math for Kids

Math can be fun, but it seems like most kids have their fill of it at school. If your child is struggling with math a little help may be in order. Taking a recreational math class or getting a tutor to help out can give your child the edge and the confidence he needs to be successful in math at school.

Reading for Kids

Teachers tell us that up to third grade kids learn to read, and starting in fourth grade they read to learn. That means that by the end of third grade, kids should be solid confident readers. Fortunately there are so many magical books out there that make reading fun. Sometimes kids need a little extra help to get over a roadblock and then they’re back on the path to a lifelong love of reading!

Educational Activities

Beyond the basics of reading, math and science, there are many fun extracurricular activities that make kids think. Chess, music, foreign language and other subjects have been proven to improve kids’ performance in academic subjects. They help kids use their brains in different ways. Of course the fact that they’re inherently fun is an added bonus!

Tutoring

Sometimes a child just needs a little help in a very specific area. Tutoring is an ideal solution. Many tutors will come to your home or a local library. They can focus on the specific issues your child needs help with when they need it.
