Escondido Recreation Aquatics

The City of Escondido offers learn to swim classes, private lessons, and a diving class.

Mommy & Me Swim Classes

There are two age groups for this class – 6-18 months, and 18 months – 3 years. Parent will be in the water with the child. This class increases childrens’ comfort in and around the water and teaches swimming readiness skills.

Preschool Swimming Classes

Basic learn to swim classes for children ages 3 and 4. There are three levels so kids can progress and/or enter at their skill level.

Learn to Swim for School-Age Children

Children ages 5 – 16 years can learn to swim in these classes. There are six levels, starting with basic comfort in the water going all the way up to stroke improvement.

One-on-One Swim Instruction

Private swim lessons are available for swimmers of all ages and abilities.

Junior Lifeguards

Children ages 12-15 can participate in the junior lifeguard program. Student must be able to demonstrate the ability to swim the crawl continuously for 25 yards and under water for 10 feet and tread water for one minute.
