Tennis is a great sport for kids as well as adults. There are some good places in San Diego for kids to learn tennis. Many city recreation departments offer introductory lessons. For intermediate and advanced tennis players, there are ongoing programs.
Tennis Camps for Kids
If your child wants to try tennis to see if they like it, sign them up for a camp in the summer or during spring break. They’ll only be committing one week, they’ll learn the basics of the sport and they’ll be able to decide whether it’s something they want to pursue further.

Tennis is great for any age, but your child will probably have more fun if you sign them up for a class with others their own age. In fact, some kids love it so much that they sign up for a tennis league and play regularly.
